A Habit Tracker Without an Account
In 100life, "no account" means exactly what it says: there is no sign-up screen, no email field, and no password. You install the app, open it, and add your first habit. There is nothing to create and nothing to log into.

What does "no account" actually mean?
Most apps treat the account as the product's front door: before you can do anything, you hand over an email address and create a password. From that moment, your activity is tied to an identity on someone's server. In 100life that door does not exist. The app never asks who you are, because it never needs to know. Your habits live in the app's local storage on your phone, and that is the only place they exist.
Why does it matter for privacy?
Habit data is more personal than it looks. A list of what you track — sleep, alcohol, exercise, medication, mood — sketches a picture of your health and your life. When that picture sits on a company server, its safety depends on that company's security, its business model, and whoever buys the company later. When it sits only on your phone, none of those questions apply. There is no database of users to breach, no profile to advertise against, and nothing to subpoena.
This is also why 100life has no ads and no third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs: nothing in the app phones home, because there is no home to phone. You can read the full details in our privacy policy.
What are the tradeoffs?
Honesty matters here, so: no account means no automatic cloud backup and no syncing between devices. If you change phones, you move your data yourself with a free export file — it takes a minute, and the export guide walks through it. And if you lose your phone without a backup, the data is gone; we cannot restore it because we never held it. For most people who choose a no-account app, that tradeoff is the point: your data is yours because nobody else has it.
Which other habit trackers work without an account?
100life is not the only app that skips sign-up. Loop Habit Tracker (Android, open source) and HabitKit (iOS and Android) also work without accounts, each with their own strengths. We compared them honestly — including where they beat us — in the best offline habit trackers.
