100life

Best for: People who want a structured 100-day challenge with up to 10 habits and zero cloud.

Built around a fixed 100-day journey in five phases. Yes/no or number goals. A missed day logs a zero instead of breaking anything. No ads, no gamification.

iOS and Android · Free, all features included · Account: None: no sign-up screen exists

Loop Habit Tracker

Best for: Android users who want open-source software and detailed charts.

Ad-free, available on Google Play and F-Droid. Uses a habit-strength score, so a few missed days don't wipe out progress. Flexible schedules like 3 times a week.

Android only · Free and open source (GPLv3) · Account: None

HabitKit

Best for: People motivated by a visual, GitHub-style grid of completed days.

Describes itself as private, offline, and no-account. Strong home-screen widgets. Keeps daily on-device backups.

iOS and Android · Free, with an optional Pro upgrade · Account: None

Streaks

Best for: Apple users who want Apple Watch and Health app integration.

Apple Design Award winner. Up to 24 tasks. Streak-based: missing a day resets the chain, which some people find motivating and others find stressful.

Apple devices only (iPhone, iPad, Mac, Watch) · One-time purchase ($5.99 in the US App Store) · Account: No separate account; syncs through your Apple iCloud

What "offline" should mean in a habit tracker

Plenty of apps work offline for a while and sync later. That's different from an app that has no server at all. If privacy is why you're looking, check three things: whether you can start without an email, whether your entries are ever sent anywhere, and whether you can export your own data without paying. The tradeoff with fully local apps is backups: there's no cloud copy, so export regularly.
